Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure

This statement is designed as a "Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure" as outlined in the Year 2000 Information Readiness and Disclosure Act of 1998.

ScaLAPACK is Y2K compliant. An evaluation of the ScaLAPACK software revealed that there are no areas of concern for compliance. The Year 2000 compliance of ScaLAPACK is dependent upon the Year 2000 compliance of the underlying operating system. The ScaLAPACK Testing/Timing Suite calls system functions gettimeofday() and/or getrusage to return the elapsed wall-clock time or cpu time between successive calls to the function. The date field in the gettimeofday() system call is not utilized in the ScaLAPACK software.
