Available Subroutines and Prototype Codes
ScaLAPACK, Version 1.5 + update (version 1.6)
This release of ScaLAPACK includes routines for
- the solution of linear systems of equations,
- general and symmetric positive definite band linear systems of equations,
- general and symmetric positive definite tridiagonal linear systems of equations,
- condition estimation and iterative refinement for LU and Cholesky factorization,
- matrix inversion,
- full-rank linear least squares problems,
- orthogonal and generalized orthogonal factorizations,
- orthogonal transformation routines,
- reductions to upper Hessenberg, bidiagonal and tridiagonal form,
- reduction of a symmetric-definite generalized eigenproblem to standard form,
- the symmetric/Hermitian eigenproblem,
- the generalized symmetric/Hermitian eigenproblem,
- the nonsymmetric eigenproblem, and
- the singular value decomposition.
ScaLAPACK routines are available in four types: single precision
real, double precision real, single precision complex, and
double precision complex. At the present time, the nonsymmetric
eigenproblem is only available in single and double precision real.
Prototype Codes
Prototype Codes are available for:
- PBLAS (version 2.0 ALPHA),
- packed storage routines for LLT, SEP, and GSEP,
- out-of-core linear solvers for LU, QR, and Cholesky,
- the matrix sign function for eigenproblems,
- SuperLU and SuperLU_MT Sparse LU with partial pivoting
(serial and parallel code),
- the HPF interface to a subset of ScaLAPACK driver routines.
The prototype software has been produced as part of the
ScaLAPACK Project. The software is deemed prototype because is it
in pre-release state and is not as robust as the rest of the ScaLAPACK
software. Prototype codes will soon be available for the singular
value decomposition and the general band linear solvers with partial
pivoting.
