Xnetlib
is an X Window System
application that provides interactive file access
and database query processing from multiple servers through
TCP/IP connections.
Xnetlib currently
provides access to the Netlib software and document
repository, the NA-NET Whitepages Database, the Performance
Database, and the Conferences Database. Future releases of
Xnetlib will provide additional features, such as access to
remote execution facilities and interoperability with other
information services, such as gopher, WAIS,
and World Wide Web.
