gist - KSR Parallel Programming Trace Analysis Tool

abstract

Gist is an interactive X-based tool for visualizing and analyzing event logs
generated from parallel program executions on the KSR. It displays time
lines for each processor, showing events (e.g., start of a tiled region), or
user-defined states (e.g., a tiled section of code). It is integrated with
KSR's proprietary PRESTO library, which is instrumented to generate
pre-defined events. Alternatively, a user can define events via calls to an
event logging library.
