Parallel Program Development Toolkit (ppdt) - IBM SP parallel execution simulation <author> <version>
The Parallel Program Development Tookit (ppdt), is a suite of tools for simulating the behavior of an IBM SP parallel program written using the IBM Message Passing Applications Programming Interface Library. The main program is a simulator object module that a user links with the object modules for the program. It allows the parallel program to run on a single RS/6000 processor, shifting back and forth among the sections of code that execute on different processors. It also models the communications latency and bandwidth for each message. A configuration file allows one to vary communications characteristics, giving the capability to predict the performance of a code on a machine that the user doesn't have. <description><url>http://www.tc.cornell.edu:80/Parallel.Tools/tools/ppdt.html</url> <reference><url></url> <contact> <keywords>emulator <category>ppt-misc <publication-date> <environment>IBM <method> <application> <comments> </urc>
