Notes/Summary Of Tuning Parameters
Note: Storage Processors are referenced as SP0, SP1, SP2; FIle Processors as FP0,FP1,FP2,FP3; Ethernet Processors as EP0,EP1,EP2,EP3.
The filesystems were mapped to the File Processors as follows - FP0: file systems F1-7 / FP1: F11-17 / FP3: F21-28 / FP2: remaining.
All Load Generators used same 097.LADDIS Mount Points list with same /etc/fstab entries. Newfs parms -i 262/44
The 097.LADDIS Prime Client was the server Host Processor (no router was needed). ThinNet Ethernet cables/transceivers were used.
The adb tool was used to enable UDP checksumming on the iPX load generators, (HP default-checksum enabled):
adb -w /vmunix/dev/kmem
udp_cksum?W1
udp_cksum/W1
All 097.LADDIS Load Generator requests had UDP checksums so that the NetServer checked each request & checksummed each reply.
